TIM is a collaborative European research project, aiming to improve severe storm forecasts and weather warning systems.
WHO can jOIN?
At TIM, we are involving a wide variety of institutions into the research project and also give the industry the opportunity to join the campaign. Commercial partners can actively participate in the testing of products or materials or through important donations.
The TIM project team is happy to jointly develop ideas how your organisation can become part of the project.
Academia is welcome to participate in the project with scientific questions. TIM supports you with a framework to find research partners and to apply for funding.
Participation is organised via membership agreements. Full members receive full and direct access to all data collected during the project via the TIM Data Hub.
Associate members can also participate in the project with their research questions, but do not have full access to all measurements.
TIM will be Europe's largest field campaign on severe thunderstorms. Mobile teams equipped with cutting-edge technologies will chase extreme storms to collect crucial data.
The ultimate goal of TIM is to improve the safety of the population through better warnings and civil protection systems.
As a strategic partner, your company can use the TIM framework to test your systems or materials under extreme conditions - or simply to donate to this important European project.
